It's Good to Get Out

I got it together today and met up with friends to attend a high school alum event at a historical mansion in Georgetown. Nice.

I was disappointed to note there weren't that many alum of color there. I know there are more of us in existence and I wish more of us would come out to these things. I try to show up when I can because:

a) I like my high school and appreciate it even more 11 years later

and

b) I want to represent for the girls of color.

I found people to be friendly, talked to alum mainly from the '60s. They had uniforms back then!!! Hilarious! We did too, in the '90s: pajamas! Rolled straight from bed to class.
